気が付いたら昼までに10,000歩を歩いてしまう健康的な生活になっていて。
海や緑に囲まれた伊豆半島の先端特有の過ごしやすい気候の中でサーフィン、ハイキング、BBQ、友達とパ―ティを楽しむのが大好きです。

下田に来る時には、完全にスイッチをオフにしてリフレッシュの機会と思っています。
下田もインターネット環境が良いので、リモートでの仕事だったら充分にできますが、今のところはやっていません。
"When coming to Shimoda, I consider it a perfect opportunity to switch off completely and refresh. However, with the recent improvement in internet infrastructure in Shimoda and the availability of high-speed internet, it seems feasible to work remotely if the need arises."

最初は2011年から舞磯浜の海の前の家を6年間借りていました。
2017年に碁石が浜に別荘を購入。
こんなにきれいなのに東京から3時間くらいで来れることを気に入っていて、自分と妻が定年になったら住むと決めています。
そんなこともあって、多くの人に下田の良さを知ってほしいと思い民泊事業を開業しました。
「自分がゲストだったら気に入る施設」をコンセプトにしています。
現在運営中の施設のレベルは高く、トップクラスのホームビルダーが作ったしっかりした築浅の建物に、室内外の設備、家具、はすべてグレードが高いものを使用しています。
またプロの清掃会社を使っていますので、室内は常な清潔で一度もクレームがありません。
運営を始めて2年で数百名のゲスト様に泊まっていただいておりますが、民泊サービスで最高評価をいただいております。
"Initially, we rented a house in front of the sea at Maisohama from 2011 for six years. In 2017, we purchased a villa at Goshigahama. We still love the fact that we can reach such a beautiful place in about three hours from Tokyo, and we are convinced it's where we want to live once my wife and I retire.
Motivated by the desire to share the charm of Shimoda with many others, we ventured into the lodging business. Our concept is to create facilities that we, as guests, would appreciate. The current facilities we operate maintain a high standard, housed in recently built structures crafted by top-notch home builders. 当初、未経験で不安もありましたが、結果的にホスピタリティビジネスは自分に合うと思いました。
実際の経験ですと、都会と違って下田は物事がゆっくり進む傾向があるので、都会のスピード感で物事を進めると失敗する可能性が高いとわかりました。
都会だと忙しく、ビジネス側から考えるとすべては便利、スムーズで早いですが、人間関係を忘れてしまう世界です。
下田はやっぱり人間関係ですべてが動いています。
人のことを考えない方には不向きですかね。
"Initially, I had concerns and felt uneasy due to my lack of experience, but ultimately, I found that the hospitality business suits me. Through practical experience, I've learned that Shimoda operates at a slower pace compared to urban areas. Trying to push things at the speed of the city can lead to higher chances of failure.
In the city, everything is convenient, smooth, and fast-paced from a business perspective, but it often comes at the cost of neglecting interpersonal relationships. In Shimoda, the essence of everything lies in human connections. It might not be suitable for those who do not consider the well-being of others."

下田や南伊豆の方々、皆さん優しいです。
浜を歩くと地元のサーファーや住民から名前で呼ばれたり、話しかけられたりします。
都会ではあまりこういったことはないので慣れるまでに少しおどろきました。
そんな下田は奇跡的にきれいな海に囲まれた街です。
下田市は発展により力を入れて、若者が都会に行って、勉強してから戻ってくるように、住みやすい、仕事のある街を作ってほしいです。
古い置き去りのホテルや廃墟となった建物が多いのが気になりますね。
もっと街全体でイメージアップに取り組み、観光客や移住者の増加を目指せば、もっと観光地として発展していけると思います。
静かな町でいてほしいと考える人もいるかもしれませんが、今のままでは若者が去っていき、人口が減り続けてしまいそうですよね。
"Shimoda and South Izu are truly wonderful places. It's heartwarming to be called by name and engaged in conversation by local surfers and residents as I stroll along the beaches. This is quite different from the urban experience, and it took a little getting used to.
Shimoda city, surrounded by miraculously beautiful seas, is indeed a unique gem. I hope there will be a strong focus on the development of Shimoda. Creating a town that is easy to live in, with ample job opportunities, could encourage young people to study in the city and then return, contributing to the local community.
I've noticed many abandoned hotels and buildings in ruins, which is a concern. I believe there is potential for the entire town to work on improving its image, aiming for an increase in both tourists and residents. This town has great potential to evolve into a thriving tourist destination.
While some may prefer the town to remain quiet, the current situation could lead to the departure of the younger generation and a continued decline in the population. It's a delicate balance, and efforts toward positive development will be crucial for the town's future."

運営物件数的にはうまくいけば４件まで増やそうと思っています。
バーやレストラン経営も視野に入っています。
自分が料理作りが好きで、新しいチャレンジもしてみたいです。
"I plan to expand the number of properties to four. Beyond that, I am considering venturing into bar and restaurant management. I have a passion for cooking, and I would like to explore new challenges in that area."

今の歴史的な円安は数十年に一度あるかないかのものだと思っています。日本のアセットは海外投資家に対して非常に魅力的になり、海外の資金が日本に流れてきています。
まずは東京などの都会に集中していますが、投資チャンスのある下田のような地方へ海外の資金は流れるかと思います。不動産購入、事業投資が活発化するのではないかと思います。
実際にここ1－2年間の間、外国人が経営しているレストランやバーが増えていますし、さらに増えていくと思います。下田にインターナショナルスクールを作ることを考えている友達もいます。
ただし、外国人だけではなく、地元の方々やほかの町にお住まいの日本人個人投資家や移住者にも、是非この素晴らしい下田に目を向けてこの町の改善や発展にかかわってほしいです。

Japan's assets have become highly attractive to foreign investors, resulting in an influx of overseas funds into the country. While the focus is initially on major cities like Tokyo, I believe there is potential for foreign capital to flow into regional areas like Shimoda, presenting investment opportunities in real estate and business ventures.
Over the past 1-2 years, we've seen an increase in restaurants and bars run by foreigners in Shimoda, and I anticipate this trend will continue. I even have friends considering the establishment of an international school in Shimoda.
However, it's essential not only to engage foreign investors but also to encourage local residents and Japanese individual investors from other towns to turn their attention to the improvement and development of this wonderful Shimoda."
